Privacy
This page is written to be plain and honest about what we actually do, not as a legal document. It’s a starting point for your conversation with a lawyer, not a finished product.
The short version
We collect as little as we can get away with, we don’t sell or share it, and we don’t use it for anything you wouldn’t expect. We process your data lawfully, keep it safe, and you have rights over it that we’ll honour quickly and without hassle.
What we collect here, on the marketing site
If you leave your email to ask for an invite, we store:
- your email address,
- the date you asked,
- which page you asked from (home page or pricing page — nothing more specific than that).
We use it for exactly two things:
- To send you a one-time sign-up link when it’s your turn.
- To send the occasional update before then (for example, if invites are going to be delayed) — but only if you checked the box saying you wanted those updates.
You can ask us to delete your email from the waitlist at any time. You can also request to see what we hold about you, correct it, move it elsewhere, restrict how we use it, or object to us using it. Just email us and we’ll sort it. We keep waitlist data for 24 months from your sign-up date, or until you’re invited and join — whichever comes first. After that, it goes.
We don’t use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts on this site. There’s nothing here watching you browse.
What the app collects, once you’ve signed up
This page is about the marketing site. Once you have a Dèanta account, a separate, fuller privacy notice inside the app covers what it stores (your name and email, your children’s names, avatars and PINs, the chores you set up and what gets ticked off) and why. In short: enough to run the chore list and nothing else — no real payment details, no advertising, no data sold to anyone.
Getting in touch
If you want your waitlist email removed, or have any question about what we hold, email hello@deanta.app and we’ll sort it. If you feel we haven’t handled things right, you also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Who’s behind this
Dèanta is run by one person, from Falkirk, Scotland. There’s no bigger company behind it, and no plan to sell your data to one. For contact purposes, the data controller is the sole trader operating Dèanta.
